Call for Speakers

Call for Speakers is closed.  Thanks for your interest.

In its third year, SharePoint Conference .Org 2010 is being held April 18 - 21 in Baltimore, Maryland.  SharePoint Conference .Org 2010 is seeking proposals from speakers for a limited number of 1-hour educational sessions which are to be held on Monday, April 19th and Tuesday, April 20th.

Acceptance of speaker submissions is determined by the following factors:

  • SharePoint experience and credentials of the speaker
  • Topic – submissions which cover one of our suggested topics will be given more weight
  • Clarity of the submission regarding the topic, the target audience, the level (intro, intermediate, expert) and take aways for the audience
  • You ability and willingness to attend the conference as well as speak.  Our guest speakers are an integral part of our conference, not just show up to speak then leave.

Additional Information

The majority of the attendees represent membership based organizations and other non-profits.  Speaking to them in their language (member or constituent instead of customers) goes a long way.  Also be sure to include any association or non-profit experience you may have in the bio with your submission.

These are educational sessions.  Attendees pay to come to this conference to learn, not to be sold to. Case studies are most effective.  Preferably your case study should pertain to or relate to a .Org but this is not an absolute requirement.

Although we do attract some developer attendees, the majority of our audience tends to be business users and administrators who are not looking to write code.

Submissions must be from specific individuals not companies or organizations.  The person that submits is the person that must speak, so make sure you are available on the scheduled date.

Attendees like to have all of the session materials in the conference program. Be willing and able to submit your information to us in a timely manner.  If your presentation materials aren’t available by the due date you will be dropped from the program.
